Intended learning outcomes:
Upon successful completion of the module, students will be able to:
- Critically evaluate and synthesise advanced legal knowledge and scholarship within a specialised area of law.
- Design and execute an independent programme of legal research using appropriate methodological approaches.
- Develop and sustain a sophisticated and original legal argument supported by critical analysis of relevant sources.
- Demonstrate originality in the application of knowledge and in addressing complex legal, regulatory, or policy challenges.
- Communicate research findings effectively through a substantial dissertation meeting postgraduate standards of scholarship, structure, and academic integrity.
- Exercise self-direction, independent learning, and sound judgement in the conduct of advanced legal research.
