The focus of the 'Natural Resources, development and change: putting critical analysis into practice' course is on what can be done in terms of transformative change in natural resources use, management and governance (rather than on exclusively focusing on the understanding of the politics of natural resources. Hence the subtitle: how to put critical analysis into practice. This 'practice' is discussed from two angles: 1) how specific frameworks for critical analysis are deployed in (development) practice, and 2) by looking at the role of critical analysis/research in concrete examples of processes of transformative change. Please refer to the course guidelines for details on course design and readings.
