Intended learning outcomes:
1- Gain familiarity with concepts and analytical tools applied to study of political society and government in the Middle East.
2- Gain a deeper understanding of forms of societal organisation and modes of social and political action.
3- Gain an understanding of processes involved in the constitution of social and political forces.
4- Gain familiarity with sources of data on these issues in countries of the region.
5- Become aware of the different perspectives and debates within the field of Middle East politics.
