Intended learning outcomes:
On successful completion of this Module the learner will be able to:
- demonstrate a critical understanding of the themes of Korean literature and film with respect to socio-historical context and cultural developments;
- reflect on the narrative devices and strategies of the literary works and films studied on the module to propose interpretations of the themes explored in them through critical analysis;
- formulate arguments to evaluate interpretations of the themes based on research and critical analysis;
- question, challenge and critically assess different analytical approaches and opinions with consideration to reception and changing contexts.
