Intended learning outcomes:
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:
- demonstrate an understanding of the themes of Korean literature and film with respect to socio-historical context and cultural developments;
- reflect on the narrative devices of the literary works and films studied on the module to propose interpretations of the themes explored in them through close reading and analysis;
- formulate arguments to evaluate interpretations of the themes based on research and critical analysis;
- critically assess and challenge different analytical approaches and opinions.
