- Explain critical approaches to the concept of reason from a range of traditions studied in this module
- Provide a overview of a range of research resources on critical theoretic views about reason
- Apply knowledge of critical approaches to the concept of reason to a range of historical and contemporary case-studies

Assessment 2: Name: Essay
Assessment 2: Weighting: 70%
Assessment 2: Description: 2500 words. Students will be asked to design their own essay question that addresses module thematic content and relevant learning outcomes. Students will need to consult with me, as module convenor, to guarantee that the essay question properly addresses the learning outcomes
