Intended learning outcomes:
- demonstrate an understanding of how globalization formed in different parts of the world and how processes of interregional connectivity overlapped or compare with each other thematically
- demonstrate an understanding of how approaches to the global past have changed over time and differ depending on the historian's perspective and sources available
- identify and evaluate the premises, arguments and use of evidence in historical writing at a global scale and over large spans of time
- construct convincing arguments, combining critical insight and a command of relevant evidence, about different globalizing processes around the world
