Intended learning outcomes:

On successful completion of this module, the student should be able to:

LO1       Grasp the theoretical underpinnings of anthropology as a field of inquiry, and the ways they have been rethought and reworked in emerging conditions.

LO2       Identify and evaluate complex situations ethnographically, teasing out the norms and principles that condition or shape them.

LO3       Engage confidently and closely with anthropological concepts, and able to apply them to their own social experience and situation.

LO4       Strengthen ability to read independently, creatively, and critically.

LO5       Grasp the diversity and dynamism of anthropological theory and be able to articulate its relevance to the understanding of contemporary social life.
