  • demonstrate familiarity with some of the major themes in the history of the discipline of anthropology, and with the role of ethnographic research in exploring and understanding these themes;
  • understand what it means to approach social and cultural phenomena from a perspective of historical and cultural relativism
  • apply anthropological concepts, ethnographic comparison, and anthropological terminology in relation to your own life and the world around you;
  • use anthropological analysis to discuss contemporary social and political issues;
  • feel more confident in analytical reading, writing and oral presentation.
